Christmas 2008!

This year for Christmas my whole family came to St. George, we had a lot of fun. Apparently we had so much fun I didn't get too many pictures of the event, but I did get a few. The boys got to golf so of course they thought that was fun, and the Idaho people enjoyed the warmer weather for a few days!

Santa brought the boys bunkbeds this year, that was awfully nice of him since the boys needed bunkbeds!

This is the kids acting out the Nativity on Christmas Eve, they had a great time doing this. And Devin was very resourceful when it came to their costumes!

We do a lot of sitting around a talking when we all get together, what can we say we like to visit and eat.

It meant a lot to me that my family all came and I really enjoyed having them here for Christmas.

Our First Trip to California, Summer 2008

We decided to take a trip to California this summer, since our new home is only 6 hours from Disneyland! We told the boys at the beginning of the year to start saving their money for our Disneyland trip. So they started saving their pennies, and with a little help from Dad here and there the boys saved about $100 for our trip, they were so excited!
We had so much fun at Disneyland, we went at the beginning of September so it wasn't very busy and we walked right onto about every ride.

The boys were so excited to meet Buzz!

In between our 2 Disneyland days we went to the ocean and had a great time!

Devin, had never been to the ocean before, we could hardly get him to get out of the water!

The boys had so much fun playing in the sand.

Diggen a tunnel in the sand, could life get any better than this.

Devin's Birthday

Devin turned 28 this week. His parents came to visit around his birthday so we decided to celebrate with them a little early. We had a lot of fun with Devin's parents and were so happy to have them come visit us. The boys and I gave Devin a guitar hero for his playstation 3 for his birhtday, he was so excited. I'm not sure if he just turned 28 or 18 sometimes!

Oh, no I'm stuck in the toilet!

I know this is gross, but Keaton went through a phase where he liked to play with the little potty. Well on this particular day he got it stuck on his head. We all thought it was really funny until we realized that it was stuck. After a few very strong tugs Devin finally got it off Keaton's head. Keaton hasn't played with the little potty since!

Yay, it finally snowed!

It doesn't snow very often here, so when it does we must take advantage of it. The boys were so excited to see the snow that I bundled them up and we took out our sled. They didn't last too long in the cold and were ready for hot chocolate. I think the warmer weather has made us wimps in the snow, we don't like being cold. And what was I thinking there is not enough snow on the ground to go sledding.

Oh, Mid February in St. George

The boys love the fact that they can play at the park pretty much all year round. On this particular day I think it was close to 70 degrees. Our boys were dressed in sweat shirts and hats, while all the other kids were in shorts and running around bare foot. Ok, so maybe I do overdress them for the weather sometimes.

Our Sunbeam

Brennon went to his first day of Sunbeams in primary, and he loved it! He has wonderful teachers and so far all I hear from his leaders is that he looks so cute sitting in his primary chair. I am such a proud Mommy!

Christmas 2007!

We took the boys to the mall to see Santa. Brennon was a little hesitant to sit on Santa's lap, but once he sat on his lap he was really excited to tell him what he wanted for Christmas!

Devin was so excited about playing Santa, he requested that one of our family traditions be that we make cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve! The boys had a blast making a mess in the kitchen with Dad.

This Christmas we decided to stay home instead of going to our families house. We were a little nervous about how it would go, but we were pleasantly surprised and actually really enjoyed Christmas in our own house.

We decided to start some traditions this year with our boys. The first thing we did was act out the nativity for Family Night. Devin had trouble locating a doll in our house full of boy toys, so he we ended up using Buzz Lightyear for baby Jesus! The boys had a great time reinacting the Nativity, and the entire week following I had to wrap baby Jesus (Buzz Lightyear) over and over again in his blanket. Devin also used my perfume as a gift to give baby Jesus, so Brennon kept running off with my perfume and give it to Jesus (Buzz Lightyear), it drove me crazy but was really cute!

I requested that we begin the tradition of Cinnamin Rolls for Christmas breakfast, they were yummy and very easy (store bought giant cinnamin rolls).

All and all, our first Christmas in our own home, all by ourselves was really fun. We did miss our family though, and hope that in the future maybe they can come to our home for Christmas sometime.

Thanksgiving 2007!

My brother Bryce had his fareweel over Thanksgiving this year, it was so nice to have the entire family there to support him!

Brennon was so tired from a week of playing with cousins, grandparents, and aunts and uncles that by Thanksgiving day, he slept right through our Thanksgiving dinner. Poor Brennon, we did give him some food when he woke up.

We had a really nice Thanksgiving this year, Devin took off the whole week, so we got to spend a lot of time with our family.

Halloween 2007!

Superheroes was the theme for Halloween this year!

We went to Staheli Farms for family night, and the boys had so much fun! They searched the pumpkin patch for their pumpkins, sat on the tractor and many other fun activites.

We had so much fun trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood. The boys got tons of candy, (Devin was thrilled) and the best part was how warm it was. No coats needed and Devin wore shorts and a t-shirt.

We've Moved to Hurricane Utah!!

We now live in Hurricane, UT. For those of you that don't know Hurricane is just outside of St. George.

Devin is working as a mechanical engineer for a company called RAM. So, far he is really liking his job, which is good because we moved away from our family so that he could have this opportunity! I have the wonderful job of being a stay at home Mom.

Our two boys keep me very busy, and I love being able to spend so much time with them. Brennon is 3 1/2 and he just as fun as ever. He is quite the talker and will talk to anyone that will listen. Brennon is going to be a sunbeam next week, and he is so excited to be in primary. Keaton is 19 months old, and is so much fun unless he doesn't feel good. He has discovered cartoons this month and loves to watch with his brother. Brennon and Keaton love to play together and I of course love it when they entertain themselves for a while so that I can get some things done around the house!

Devin and I are enjoying the boys so much, every stage and each child brings something new to our little family. We truly are blessed!
